The Summer School of Urban Mobility is another event organized by the Center for Environment, on behalf of the CIVINET Network for Slovenia, Croatia, and Southeast Europe, in 2025 and 2026, as part of the CLIMove project, implemented in cooperation with the association Odraz (Zagreb), and the Transport Research Center (Brno).
The CLIMove project is a continuation of the CLIMASUM project, which the Center implemented during 2022 and 2023, within which, among other things, two summer schools were held, one in Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
The Center will hold the Summer School of Urban Mobility during the period 21 – 25 July 2025 in Mostar.
It is intended for students of all departments, faculties, and universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but students of transport sciences, spatial planning, architecture, geography, and sociology will be given priority in the application process. Prior experience in the field of urban mobility is not required.
Participants can expect film screenings, lectures on public transport, multimodality, advocacy in the field of urban mobility, practical challenges of designing cycling infrastructure, visits to locations of interest, hands-on group work, and more.
Travel expenses are covered by the organizers through a refund system. Materials, accommodation, food, and refreshments during the Summer School are provided by the organizers.
Registration is done via this link, and the registration deadline is 20 June 2025 at 11:59 PM, or until all spots are filled (25 participants). Participants will receive confirmation of participation within a week after the application deadline or after capacity is filled.
The exact locations of the event, as well as the detailed agenda, will be provided as soon as possible to participants whose participation is confirmed.
The five most outstanding participants of the summer school in Mostar will also be invited to take part in the summer school organized by the Center in Belgium next year.

The CLIMove project addresses the need for sustainable urban mobility in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). It promotes climate-neutral urban mobility through capacity building, education, and cooperation of various actors in Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal of the project is to empower local authorities, young professionals, and the public to implement sustainable mobility solutions.
This project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).
