Arhus Center
In June 2013, the Center for Environment with the financial support of the EU and the OSCE Mission to BiH, established the Aarhus Center for access to information, public participation in decision making and access to justice related to environment.
The main goal of the Aarhus Centre is to improve the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to be a link between public authorities and the wider community, especially at the local level.
The Aarhus Centre office is open to citizens, representatives of associations and institutions who want to be informed in a timely manner on issues of environmental protection and to prepare adequately for participation in decision-making processes.
A key role in the work of the Aarhus Center is played by non-governmental organizations dealing with environmental issues and local governments that need to implement the Aarhus Convention in practice.
By raising the capacity of civil society organizations, their skills that will be improved and used to objectively and reasonably represent the public interest in the field of the environment.
