Description | Support for the work of the Aarhus Center in Banja Luka (CZZS) in the context of the implementation of the Aarhus Convention, i.e. support, empowerment and animation of citizens in terms of using the right to access information, participation in decision-making and access to justice in matters that concern or may affect the environment. The specific objectives of the project are: Strengthening of informal groups of citizens and/or civil society organizations at the local level; -Democratization in environmental decision-making; - Contribution to a more inclusive environment in the context of achieving environmental justice; - Contribution to better judicial practice in the field of environmental law. Expected results: - Informed and empowered at least five informal groups of citizens and/or civil society organizations at the local level, -Increased capacity and independence of local (non-professional) groups of citizens and/or activists, -Improved protection of the interests of local communities in the decision-making process on the environment, -Introduced tools for democratic decision-making, protection of nature and the right to a healthy environment, -Positive result or significant contribution to legal activities in at least five cases. |
