The CK13 Youth Center organised a study visit entitled “All Land Tends to Become a Forest”, which took place in Novi Sad from 18th to 20th November 2025.

The study visit was implemented within the project “THE STORY OF THE 1.5°C LIMIT”, jointly carried out by Zelena akcija (Zagreb), Zero Waste Montenegro (Podgorica), Center for Environment (Banja Luka), and CK13 Youth Center (Novi Sad).

The aim of the STORY project is to strengthen the capacities of young people and organisations from the Western Balkans region to better understand the ecological crisis, as well as to actively advocate for sustainable and just solutions through civic education and artistic practices. In this spirit, the Study Visit program was designed as a kind of nursery of encounters, knowledge, and ideas, bringing together representatives, volunteers, collaborators, and activists of partner organisations with the goal of exchanging experiences, policies, and practices related to the achievement of environmental justice.

The study visit was inspired by the biological fact that all land tends to become a forest — in the sense that all living beings gravitate toward the ecosystem in which the greatest abundance of coexistence can be supported and ensured.

The idea behind this Guide is to bring together in one place applied practices that have proven relevant, successful, and inspiring in the development of critical environmental awareness. As such, the Guide is intended for organisations, collectives, and informal groups engaged in spreading environmental political awareness, activism, and advocacy for environmental justice.
