Project title: Women’s human rights and EU integrations II
General goal
Women`s rights and gender equality in BiH are integral part of EU accession process.
Specific goals
- Development of new Advocacy strategy; Meetings / consultations with targeted groups (EU institutions in Brussels and in BiH, UN organizations, Embassies in BiH and other relevant institutions); Preparation and sending written submissions/inputs, Preparation of next Alternative CEDAW report and mid-term UPR
- Organization of capacity building trainings/study visit for students (lecturers, moderators, participants, materials) from four Universities in BiH.
- Gender mainstreaming in crisis management and green transition
- (Field and desk research on the number and role of women in crisis staffs; Development of Guidelines, Promotion of Guidelines; hCa and Center for Environment meetings and developing modalities of work; selection of thematic areas for research, work with environmental activists).
- Design of EU gender integration Barometer (preparing questions, systematizing and presenting answers, monitoring and measuring progress).
- On-line activities and visibility actions (Posting information on ukljuciseu.org, social networks, “Pillar of shame”, Exchanging information with media, Translation and Promotion of the Gender Equality Glossary).
Expected results:
- EU and UN representatives increasingly prioritize gender equality in the EU accession process.
- Strengthened the capacity of new generation of students from different towns in BiH to analyse, monitor and advocate for women’s human rights in EU accession process.
- Gender perspective incorporated in the field of crisis management and green transition
- EU gender integration Barometer enabled civil society organizations to measure the degree of progress made by key political leaders in the field of gender equality and accession process
- Citizens are informed and familiar with gender terminology and necessity of engendering the EU accession process
