
Representatives of the Center for Environment, on Saturday, July 1, 2023, as part of the event “Strljanica 2023 – Days of mowing in Kupres,” introduced a call for individuals, organizations, and initiatives from the Kupreško polje interested in the protection of nature and sustainable development. This call is part of the activities carried out through the project “Sustainable Future of the Livno Karst Polje in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” which aims to promote and protect the Livanjsko, as well as other karst poljes in BiH. The Center is implementing this project it in collaboration with the Ornithological Society “Naše Ptice” and the organization EuroNatur, with the support of the DIMFE foundation. A similar call was held last year when organizations from the Duvanjsko polje could apply. On that occasion, the Center for Environment supported two local associations in the Duvanjsko polje – “Kultura i mladi Tomislavgrad” for the construction of a hiking trail, as well as the “Speleological Society Mijatovi Dvori” for the preservation of the Dahne cave. The call, open until July 15, 2023, was presented at the handicraft fair held during the fourth day of the event “Strljanica 2023 – Days of mowing in Kupres”.
Representatives of the Center took the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Municipality of Kupres, non-governmental organizations, tourism workers, and other potential applicants during the event, as well as during their appearance on Kupres Radio.
