Description
The main goal of the project is conducting detailed research on the ichthyofauna of the Trebižat river system, with emphasis on the critically endangered species Squalius microlepis. Also, the goal is to start the initiative for protection of the area based on the research results, make a study for protection (a document with arguments for protection) as well as to advocate for protection and conservation. The protection of the area and management establishment would help decrease current pressures and help preserve natural values that characterize this river.
