Description | Overall goal: To solidify sustainability of the BioNET as network that operates as key civil society platform for biodiversity protection in the WB countries and further enhance awareness of citizens on biodiversity conservation needs. Specific objectives: 1. To raise public awareness within a campaign, informing the citizens on values and importance of biodiversity protection and ideas how to jointly contribute to the healthy environment. 2. To consolidate BioNET’s structures and mechanisms for fluid transition into solely independent functioning as biodiversity civil society platform. About the project: This project will be implemented within two main components: 1. BioNET promotional awareness raising campaign on biodiversity in WB countries – to secure continuation and extension of awareness raising on biodiversity in the WB, particularly using the lessons learned and best examples from the previous campaign to be transferred by the organisation from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the wider region, hence leading to a longer-term heightened sensitivity and support of the public towards biodiversity conservation; and 2. BioNET strategic plan for period 2021 – 2025 accompanied with the action plan for the first year and internal documents (Memorandum of Understanding/cooperation and Rules and Procedures) is a consolidation of network structures and mechanisms, which shall help further solidify BioNET’s ability to fulfil its commitment for a long-term “Preserved Balkans nature for Europe’s future” (BioNET’s vision) beyond the GIZ/ORF BDU support. Project activities: 1. BioNET promotional awareness raising campaign on biodiversity in WB countries The project partners will define a list of topics that will be part of the promotional awareness campaign. Promotional content / materials will be produced in three packages (short video, brochure and promotional material), each focused on one of the identified topics / areas. All packages will be unified to maximize campaign promotion and visibility. 2. BioNET strategic plan for period 2021 – 2025 The expert team will be in charge of leading the process and drafting the Strategic Plan, through the active involvement of all BioNET members. |
